Jessica Garcia

Jessica Garcia, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, specializing in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology. She earned her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and her medical degree at the University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria.

Her clinical focus lies in pediatric hematology, particularly hemostasis and thrombosis, where she serves as the lead hemophilia provider. She has contributed to research on von Willebrand Disease models and joint health in hemophilia A patients.

Dr. Garcia held leadership roles as 2022-2024 Co-Chair for the Hemostasis and Thrombosis Research Society Consortium. Her accolades include the National Hemophilia Foundation-Baxalta Clinical Fellowship grant and NIH Loan Repayment Program recognition.
