Jessica Argo

Dr. Jessica Argo is a Programme Leader in the BDes Sound for Moving Image Programme at The Glasgow School of Art's School of Innovation and Technology. Her research focuses on spatial audio for neuroscience, EDI in creative education, and immersive soundscapes for therapeutic applications. She holds a PhD from GSA on using ambisonic soundscapes in exposure therapy for anxiety. A practicing sound artist and cellist, she collaborates with ensembles like the Glasgow Improvisers Orchestra (GIO), curating global sessions and workshops. Her work bridges art and science, blending acoustic and electronic elements to explore audience affective responses.
