Jesse Senechal

Dr. Jesse Senechal is an Assistant Professor in the Foundations of Education department at Virginia Commonwealth University's School of Education, where he also serves as Executive Director of the Institute for Collaborative Research and Evaluation (ICRE). With over a decade of experience, he leads projects focused on improving educational outcomes through teacher residency programs, culturally responsive pedagogy, and work-based learning initiatives.

His research examines educational disparities through lenses of equity and inclusion, with expertise in collaborative methodologies and professional development frameworks. Recent major projects include co-leading the evaluation of Virginia's statewide V-TOP initiative for work-based learning and serving as lead evaluator for the University of Buffalo Teacher Residency program.
