Jesse Allison

Jesse Allison is an Associate Professor of Experimental Music & Digital Media at Louisiana State University (LSU). He contributes to the Cultural Computing focus at LSU's Center for Computation & Technology (CCT), exploring how technology expands sonic arts possibilities.

• Prior roles: Co-founder of Ball State University's Institute for Digital Intermedia Art and Electrotap media arts initiative
• Current leadership: Media Interaction Laboratory and Library (MILL), co-director of Laptop Orchestra of Louisiana (LOLs), head of Mobile [App | Art | Action] Group (MAG)

His research spans computer interactivity in performance, distributed music systems, mobile music applications, and immersive multi-modal artworks. Performances and installations have been showcased globally at festivals including Pixilerations, Siggraph, and International Computer Music Conference (ICMC).

Allison earned his Doctor of Musical Arts in Composition from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. His work integrates technology with artistic expression through:
