Derick Ostrenko

Derick Ostrenko is an Associate Professor at Louisiana State University with joint appointments in the School of Art and the Center for Computation & Technology (CCT). He coordinates the Digital Art program and focuses on innovative intersections of media, culture, and technology through interactive installations, generative systems, and custom hardware/software开发.

Education:

• BA in Art from Stetson University
• MFA in Digital Media from Rhode Island School of Design

Research Interests: Explores technological systems that reveal hidden human networks through interactive media. Uses mobile apps, brainwave interfaces, and generative visuals to create structures for artistic expression. Recent work emphasizes data visualization, environmental art, and participatory installations.

Exhibitions: Shown at International Symposium of Electronic Art (Albuquerque), New York University, Fountain Art Fair (Miami), Polk Museum of Art (Florida), and NWEAMO (San Diego).

Teaching: Courses include Creative Coding, 3D Graphics, Wearable Technology, and Interactive Media. Active in the Cultural Computing Research Group at CCT.
