Dr. Jess Tyrrell is an Associate Professor in the Clinical and Biomedical Sciences Department at the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences, University of Exeter. Her research focuses on genetic and big data approaches to understanding metabolic and mental health disorders, including type 2 diabetes-depression relationships and vestibular conditions like Meniere's disease.

Dr Tyrrell collaborates with institutions in Edinburgh, Glasgow, and London through the NIHR Exeter Biomedical Research Centre. She is open to postgraduate research supervision for self-funded students in metabolic-mental health genetics.
