Jess Self

Jess Self serves as a Lecturer in the School of Visual Arts at the University of North Georgia, with office location at the Dahlonega campus. The School of Visual Arts offers undergraduate programs including Art Pathway (A.A.), Studio Art (B.A.), Art Education (BSEd), and Visual Arts (B.F.A.), along with minors in Art History, Digital Arts, and Graphic Design, plus a Digital Design & Fabrication Certificate.

Dr. Self's teaching encompasses multiple visual arts disciplines with emphasis on:

• Foundational art education principles
• Traditional and digital studio practices
• Design fabrication techniques
• Exhibition preparation methodologies

The program maintains active gallery spaces across UNG's Dahlonega and Gainesville campuses, featuring student works through exhibitions including the Casa Student Art Exhibition, Senior Student Exhibitions, and the Hal B. Rhodes Student Exhibition. Collaborative projects such as the Annual Outdoor Sculptures and Bayeux Tapestry Replica demonstrate the program's community engagement.
