Her research focuses on integrating comics and graphic novels into language pedagogy to enhance visual literacy, inclusivity, and student engagement. She advocates for creative pedagogy to foster learner autonomy and criticality, drawing on principles of Exploratory Practice to develop collaborative student-teacher enquiry.
Key projects include designing online spaces like the Language Zone to support extra-curricular language practice and resilience-building during the pandemic. Her work emphasizes the role of comics as a multi-modal tool for linguistic diversity and student-teacher co-creation of knowledge.
