Helen Finnerty is a Lecturer in English for Academic Purposes (EAP) at the Language Centre, School of Languages, Cultures and Societies, University of Leeds, where she has been working since 2012. She serves as Module Leader for undergraduate Discovery Modules supporting international students and co-leads pre-sessional programs for postgraduate students in Arts and Humanities. Starting in 2023, she also contributes to in-sessional academic literacies support for postgraduate students in the School of Education.

Helen is actively involved in teacher training, having previously delivered Cambridge DELTA and CELTA programs at International House, Buenos Aires. She brings extensive international teaching experience from South America, the Czech Republic, and Turkey.
