Since joining in 2014, she has taught on pre-sessional courses (both undergraduate and postgraduate), the general English programme, and led the postgraduate pre-sessional EGAP course. Her current responsibilities include managing the in-sessional programme for the School of Food Science and Nutrition, co-leading the 'Language for Business' pre-sessional module, and acting as Events Coordinator for the BALEAP In-sessional SIG.
Her academic qualifications are:
- MA Linguistics and English Language Teaching (University of Leeds, 2012)
- PG Cert English Language Teaching and Professional Practice (Leeds Beckett University)
- Cambridge DELTA (2016)
- Cambridge CELTA
- BA History (University of Leicester)
Bodin-Galvez's research centers on the impact of embedded in-sessional English provision and the EAP requirements of students educated in English Medium Instruction (EMI) environments. This work is directly informed by her practical experience embedding EAP within academic disciplines, particularly in Food Science and Nutrition.
No scientific awards are documented in the available profile. While specific graduate students are not listed, her teaching roles involve significant student supervision in core modules. She previously co-managed The Language Scholar journal (2017-2019), contributing to pedagogical scholarship. Bodin-Galvez also collaborates with the School of Food Science and Nutrition and engages with the wider EAP community through BALEAP.
