Jerome Hodos is an Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Sociology at Franklin and Marshall College. He holds a Ph.D., M.A., and Graduate Certificate in Urban Studies from the University of Pennsylvania, alongside a B.A. in Philosophy from Harvard University. His research focuses on Urban Sociology, Globalization, Comparative-Historical Sociology, and Public Policy, with particular attention to second-tier cities like Philadelphia and Manchester. His most notable work examines globalization's impact on local politics and urban hierarchies. Recent publications include Second Cities: Globalization and Local Politics in Manchester and Philadelphia (2011) and articles on urban governance and intergovernmental relations. His presentations span topics like cultural planning and migration patterns in second cities.
