Jeroen Verbouw

Jeroen Verbouw is an Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship at IE Business School, IE University in Spain. His research focuses on entrepreneurial finance, family firm dynamics, and stakeholder outcomes. He holds a joint PhD in Business Economics from Tilburg University and Ghent University (2024), and was a Visiting Scholar at Columbia Business School (2023). His work bridges institutional theory and entrepreneurship, examining how investors and entrepreneurs navigate funding landscapes and how family firms balance socioemotional wealth with operational goals.

His recent work includes meta-analyses of private equity buyouts and comparative studies of European vs. US venture capital practices.
