Jeroen Cluckers

Jeroen Cluckers is a video artist and filmmaker who serves as a lecturer-researcher in the Graphic & Digital Media program at AP University of Applied Sciences and Arts Antwerp since 2017. He is also affiliated with the Royal Academy of Antwerp as a researcher at MAXlab and with the research groups Immersive Lab and Media, Design and IT.

His research focuses on the intersection of art, technology, and perception, with particular emphasis on:

• Immersive media (VR/360° video)
• Immersive storytelling
• Artificial intelligence applications for video and virtual reality
• Machine perception and creative perspectives

Cluckers' artistic work explores the boundaries between reality and virtuality, image and imagination, cinema and painting. His creations have been exhibited in over 40 countries worldwide at prestigious venues including Ars Electronica, ZKM, The Hermitage Museum, and FILE.

Cluckers has received several awards for his work:

• Best 60 Seconds Film at New York Film Week
• Best Experimental Film at TUFF
• Best Experimental Film at GISFF

He regularly gives lectures and demonstrations on VR and AI at events such as Studium Generale 2019, SETT Ghent 2019, and Let's Get Digital 2018, exploring the innovative possibilities of these technologies for artistic expression and storytelling.
