Jerico Vasquez is a Full Professor of Piano and Artist-in-Residence at the Department of Music, Shorter University in Rome, Georgia. He holds a B.M. with High Honors in Piano Performance from UC Santa Barbara (1995) and a D.M.A. from the Moores School of Music, University of Houston (2002). His research focuses on piano performance, pedagogy, and the works of composer Emma Lou Diemer. He has performed extensively across the U.S., Canada, Europe, and the Philippines as a soloist, chamber musician, and collaborator with ensembles like the Balkan String Quartet and Expedition Winds.
Dr. Vasquez has adjudicated competitions for the Georgia Music Teachers Association and delivered masterclasses nationwide. His students have excelled in competitions and pursued graduate studies at prestigious institutions such as Eastman School of Music and Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. He is an official artist for Shigeru Kawai pianos.
