Jeremy Worm is a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Michigan Technological University. He also serves as Research Engineer for the Advanced Power Systems Research Center (APSRC), Director of the Michigan Tech Mobile Lab, and Associate Director of the APSRC. He holds a BSME from Michigan Tech (1999) and a Professional Engineers license (2003).
His research focuses on High-Performance Engines (SI/CI), Direct Injection Compressed Natural Gas systems, Alternative Fuels, and Energy Efficiency. Expertise areas include combustion system development, variable valve timing strategies, powertrain calibration, and hybrid electric vehicle integration.
Recent work includes analysis of ethanol-gasoline blends in spark ignition engines. He has 15+ years industry experience with General Motors' powertrain division, where he contributed to hybrid electric vehicle projects and co-authored a variable valve timing seminar.
