Jeremy Weinstein is the Don K. Price Professor of Public Policy and Dean at Harvard Kennedy School, with a joint appointment in the Department of Government. He is an award-winning researcher and educator specializing in civil wars and political violence, ethnic politics, political economy of development, democracy, migration, and technology's role in governance.

- MA and PhD in political economy and government from Harvard University
His research addresses the dynamics of political conflict, institutional accountability, and the societal impacts of technology. He has pioneered empirical studies in Africa and the Middle East using experiments, qualitative, and quantitative methods. Recent work focuses on technology and democracy, highlighted in the co-authored book System Error: Where Big Tech Went Wrong and How We Can Reboot.
Weinstein has held senior government roles, including Deputy to the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations during President Obama’s second term. At Stanford University, he served as Kleinheinz Professor of International Studies and led initiatives like Stanford Impact Labs and the Immigration Policy Lab.
