Jeremy Sklar is a Visiting Assistant Professor at Purdue University's Rueff School of Design, Art, and Performance, teaching Film and Video Production. With an MFA in film directing from DePaul University and an interdisciplinary BA in Theater and Film from Columbia College Chicago, he brings extensive industry experience to academia.

Sklar's research and teaching focus on film production, screenwriting, and independent cinema, drawing from his career as a director, screenwriter, and development executive. His 2020 feature film TOM OF YOUR LIFE received critical acclaim, highlighting his expertise in narrative filmmaking and visual storytelling.
He has earned various awards for short films and is a member of SAG/AFTRA and WGA-West. Sklar's industry work includes co-producing the $5M parkour film FREERUNNER and contributing to FX's TOTALLY BIASED. Currently represented by The Arlook Group, he resides in West Lafayette, Indiana, with his dog Ajah.
