Jeremy Branson is an Artist Lecturer in Percussion and Chair of the Percussion Department at Carnegie Mellon University's School of Music. He serves as Associate Principal Percussionist of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra and has held prior roles with the New World Symphony and Philadelphia Orchestra. His performance collaborations include notable conductors and artists such as Emanuel Ax and Yo-Yo Ma. Branson has premiered works by composers like John Adams and Jennifer Higdon.
He holds a Bachelor of Music from Texas State University and a Master of Music from Temple University, studying under Alan Abel. His educational background includes programs at the Aspen Music Festival and National Repertory Orchestra. Branson's students have secured positions in major orchestras including the Oregon Symphony, National Symphony Orchestra, and Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra.
