Aaron Trumbore is an Instructor of Percussion at James Madison University and Assistant Director of Bands and Percussion Faculty at Shippensburg University. He holds a Bachelor of Music from West Chester University (studying under Dr. Ralph Sorrentino & Dr. Chris Hanning) and a Master of Music from Temple University, where he received the Dean’s Scholarship and studied with Alan Abel and Chris Deviney of the Philadelphia Orchestra.
His professional career spans performance, education, and entrepreneurship. As a percussionist, he has performed with notable ensembles such as The Harrisburg Symphony, Symphony in C, and the Percussive Arts Society’s International Convention. He co-owns Artifact Percussion, a small business crafting handmade sticks and mallets, and actively promotes entrepreneurship through clinics at universities nationally and internationally. He is sponsored by Pearl/Adams Percussion, Sabian Cymbals, and Grover Pro Percussion.
Awarded the Dean’s Scholarship during his graduate studies, Trumbore’s work bridges artistic performance and business innovation. He contributes to music education through teaching roles, band direction, and advocacy for the arts.
