Jeremy Braddock is an Associate Professor of Literatures in English at Cornell University, affiliated with the College of Arts & Sciences. He holds cross-appointments in the American Studies Program and the Milstein Program in Technology & Humanity. Braddock’s research focuses on modernist literature and culture, media studies, African American literature, and the history of material texts. He emphasizes collaboration, intermediality, and the social dimensions of cultural production.

Braddock’s work examines private collections, media archaeology, and countercultural movements. His first monograph, Collecting as Modernist Practice, explores modernism’s institutionalization in the U.S., while his recent book Firesign: The Electromagnetic History... analyzes the Firesign Theatre’s multimedia experiments. His articles traverse topics like sound art, colonial archives, and Harlem Renaissance dynamics.

Braddock has served as co-chair of the University Faculty Library Board and currently leads the Media Studies Initiative and CIVIC, the Provost’s task force for arts and humanities collaboration. He has held fellowships at the Stanford Humanities Center and the Cornell Society for the Humanities.
