Jennifer Braddock is a Lecturer in the Department of Communication at Santa Clara University's College of Arts and Sciences. She specializes in mass communication, intercultural communication, and digital media, with a focus on global citizenship and health communication. Dr. Braddock has taught since 2010 at institutions across the U.S. and Colombia, blending academic and corporate experience. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Florida in Mass Communication with an emphasis on International and Intercultural Communication, alongside a B.A. from Western Kentucky University and an M.Ed. from Georgia Southern University.
Her research investigates health communication, media framing of medical issues, and international media practices. She has published over 20 articles and chapters, including her textbook Becoming Global Citizens. Recent work includes a 2022 study on health policy reporting and a 2020 framework for evaluating health news quality. Dr. Braddock also serves as a Fulbright Specialist (2023–2026), contributing to Latin American higher education initiatives.
