Jeremy Bailoo

Jeremy Bailoo, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Cell Biology and Biochemistry at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine. His research bridges developmental psychobiology with biomedical science, focusing on how genetic and environmental factors influence health outcomes through animal models.

Dr. Bailoo's work explores three main areas: (1) the impact of laboratory animal housing on research validity and reproducibility; (2) neurotoxic effects of dietary arsenic exposure; and (3) refinement of behavioral phenotyping methods. He employs innovative approaches like voluntary participation assays and infrared backlighting for precise tracking, emphasizing ethical research practices.
