Jensa Morris

Jensa Morris is an Associate Clinical Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at Yale School of Medicine. She serves as Chief of Inpatient Medical Services and Director of the Smilow Hospitalist Service, focusing on hospitalized cancer patients. Her clinical leadership includes perioperative medical management of orthopedic and neurosurgical patients, leading initiatives like the Hip Fracture Comanagement Service and Arthroplasty Preoperative Optimization Program. Morris holds AB from Princeton University (1995), MD from Mount Sinai School of Medicine (1999), and completed residency at Brigham and Women's Hospital (2002).

Research interests center on clinical outcomes of hospitalized patients, including perioperative optimization, hospice transitions, and quality improvement initiatives. She has published extensively on topics like clinical deterioration monitoring, oncology comanagement, and nurse navigator programs. Morris is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and active member of the Society of Hospital Medicine.
