Jens Steffek

Jens Steffek is a Professor of Transnational Governance and Managing Director of the Institute for Political Science at the Technical University of Darmstadt. His research explores the politics and history of international organizations, international relations theory, transnational social actors, and democratic theory. He was a visiting researcher at the WZB Global Governance Research Unit in 2014, working on a book manuscript titled 'Global Machineries: International Organizations as Public Administration.'

His research interests focus on the intersection of global governance mechanisms and democratic accountability, examining how international bureaucracies influence transnational policy-making processes.
