Prof. Joachim Blatter is a Professor of Political Science at the University of Lucerne, Switzerland. He served as a Visiting Researcher at the WZB Berlin Social Science Center's Global Governance unit from January to July 2017. His research focuses on re-conceptualizing democracy in the context of evolving governance structures and citizenship paradigms, particularly in a post-Westphalian global landscape. During his WZB tenure, he advanced a book manuscript derived from his working paper on nationalism, globalism, and democratic citizenship. Blatter also contributes to methodological scholarship through textbooks and compendiums on case study and qualitative research methods.
