Jens Beckert

Prof. Dr. Jens Beckert is the Director at the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Societies (MPIfG) in Cologne since 2005. He is also a member of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities and Faculty of Management, Economics and Social Sciences at the University of Cologne. His research focuses on the intersection of economy and society, particularly through studies of markets, organizational sociology, wealth inequality, inheritance, and sociological theory.
