Jenny Liu, PhD, MPP, MA is a Professor at the Institute for Health & Aging within the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) School of Nursing. Her work focuses on global health equity, with a specialization in reproductive health, maternal and child health, and health economics across Sub-Saharan Africa, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East.

Recent publications highlight trends in community health worker programs, contraceptive access, and health system strengthening through girl-friendly drug vendors and digital health tools. Over 15 articles since 2011 demonstrate her focus on cluster randomized trials and cost-effectiveness analyses.
Grants from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, NIH/NIMH, and ExxonMobil Foundation support her work. Collaborations span institutions in Kenya, Mali, Nigeria, Tanzania, and Saudi Arabia.
