Jenny French is an Assistant Professor in Practice of Architecture at Harvard University's Graduate School of Design (GSD). She co-founded the internationally recognized studio French 2D in Boston, specializing in architecture and design that emphasizes collectivity, adaptive reuse, and civic engagement. Her work spans scales from urban textiles to participatory installations, focusing on housing innovation and public space.
Research & Practice: French 2D’s projects include cohousing, compact living designs, and exhibitions like House Clothes (UMass Amherst) and the 2025 Chicago Architecture Biennial. Their work explores domestic rituals in unconventional spaces through furniture, textiles, and built environments.
