Dr. Jenniffer Solange Garcia Rojas is a Casual Tutor and Honorary Research Fellow at the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences, The University of Queensland. Her research focuses on evidence-based practice, clinical reasoning, and professional development in occupational therapy, with a particular emphasis on pediatric applications and challenges in Latin America. She holds a PhD (2022) and an MPhil (2017), both from the University of Queensland's School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences.
Her work includes co-authoring the book *Using Occupational Therapy Models in Practice: A Fieldguide* (2024) and contributing chapters on supervision and occupational therapy models. Key publications address evidence-based practice in Chilean pediatric settings and maternal-fetal attachment's impact on infant development. She has also explored continuing professional development strategies in occupational therapy globally.
Dr. Garcia Rojas' research aims to build research capacity and foster a culture of evidence-based practice among Latin American occupational therapists. Her interdisciplinary collaborations span Australia and Chile, addressing gaps in clinical decision-making and professional education.
