Jennifer Wingate is a Professor and Department Chairperson in the Interdisciplinary Studies & Arts department at St. Francis College. She holds a B.A. from Williams College and a Ph.D. from Stony Brook University. Her research focuses on American Art & Visual Culture and Public Art Education, with a current book project analyzing domestic displays of political portraits. She has authored and co-edited significant works on World War I memorials and teachable monuments. Wingate teaches art history and American studies, emphasizing experiential learning through NYC cultural sites. She serves on the editorial board of Public Art Dialogue and actively engages students in museum and public art explorations.
