Dr. Jennifer L. Weaver is Chair of the Music Department and Professor of Music at Dallas Baptist University, where she leads academic initiatives in the College of Fine Arts. She earned her B.M.E. from Cedarville University, followed by her M.M. and Ph.D. in Music Theory from the University of North Texas.

Dr. Weaver’s research focuses on the twentieth-century music, the history of music theory, opera, and music theory pedagogy. Her doctoral dissertation examined Herbert Eimert’s contributions to the twelve-tone system. She is a co-host of the Note Doctors podcast, which explores music theory education.
