Jennifer Watt is an Assistant Professor in the Curriculum, Teaching, and Learning Department at the University of Manitoba's Faculty of Education. Her work centers on life writing, arts-based pedagogies, and literacies for wellbeing, with a focus on compassion in education. She explores how teachers navigate crises and cultivate mindfulness and vulnerability across their careers, while examining the role of literacies in fostering well-being for students, families, and communities.
Her research integrates teacher education as a 'life project' inspired by Maxine Greene's philosophy of teaching as a transformative process. Contact: 236 Education Building, University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, MB R3T 2N2 | Work: (204) 474-7210
