Professor Jennifer Strawbridge is an Associate Professor in New Testament Studies and Director of Graduate Studies at the University of Oxford. She serves as the G.B. Caird Fellow in Theology at Mansfield College and contributes to academic and ecclesiastical communities through leadership roles and editorial work.

Her research focuses on the New Testament, particularly the Pauline Literature, early Christian interpretation (Patristic reception), and the use of material evidence like papyri and inscriptions in biblical studies. She also investigates themes of sight and sightlessness in the New Testament.
Jennifer Strawbridge is actively engaged in academic governance and theological practice, serving as a Foundation Governor at St Andrew’s School, on the Board of Governors at Ripon College Cuddesdon, and as a Wiccamical Canon at Chichester Cathedral. She contributes to the Church of England through its Faith and Order & Liturgical Commissions and sits on the Scholarship and Fellowship Committee of the St Augustine’s Foundation.
She is part of the editorial boards for the Journal for the Study of the New Testament and the Journal for the Reception of the Bible, where she also acts as Book Review Editor.
