Jennifer Sorek

Jennifer Sorek is an Assistant Professor of Communication Instruction at Hope College, where she teaches courses like Public Presentations and The Communication Process. Her expertise spans organizational communication, corporate crisis response, and presentation skills. Prior to joining Hope in 2023, she spent 20 years in public health communication, including roles as a crisis communication specialist and planning manager for a Michigan county's health department.

She has contributed to public health initiatives through webinars and conferences such as the NACCHO Preparedness Summit and the Higher Education Preparedness Conference. While her work lacks formal scientific awards, her applied experience bridges academia and practice in communication training.

Outside academia, she consults on public health emergencies and balances family life with her husband and two children.
