Stephanie Nathan

Stephanie Nathan, MPH, is a Public Health Lecturer at the University of California, Merced since 2017. She also serves as the Assistant Public Health Director for Madera County Department of Public Health since 2018, overseeing programs such as WIC, Maternal Child Adolescent Health, Community Wellness, Epidemiology, and the EPIC section (Equity, Emergency Preparedness, Quality Improvement/Accreditation, and Communication).

Her research and professional work focus on public health management, equity-centered initiatives, strategic planning, and performance management systems. She has extensive experience in grant administration and policy development across non-profit, corporate, and local government settings.

Ms. Nathan led Madera County's efforts toward public health accreditation and developed the department’s first strategic plan, community health improvement plan, and quality improvement systems.
