Jennifer S. Davis serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of English at Louisiana State University's College of Humanities & Social Sciences, where she has taught undergraduate and graduate fiction courses since joining the faculty in 2012 after prior appointments at the University of Miami, Inland Northwest Center for Writers, New College of Florida, and University of Colorado at Denver.
Her academic credentials include a BA from the University of Montana and an MFA from the University of Alabama.
Professor Davis specializes in contemporary Southern fiction, with research emphasizing regional narrative traditions and literary journal editorial practices. Her creative work consistently explores socio-cultural dynamics of the American South through innovative short story forms.
Her distinguished publication record includes three award-winning short story collections and appearances in premier literary journals, recognized through:
