Christopher Grimes is an Associate Professor and Director of the Program for Writers at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). He specializes in postmodern, contemporary, experimental, and avant-garde fiction. His research and teaching focus on creative writing and literary analysis. Grimes has authored two major works: *The Pornographers* (2014), a novel exploring bureaucratic absurdity and social anxieties through a single-sentence structure, and *Public Works: Short Fiction and a Novella* (2005). His short stories have appeared in journals like *Western Humanities Review* and *Beloit Fiction Journal*. He is known for blending humor with critical commentary on modern societal issues.
