Christopher Torockio

Christopher Torockio is a Professor of English at Eastern Connecticut State University. He holds an M.F.A. from the University of Pittsburgh and a Ph.D. in Creative Writing and Contemporary Fiction from Western Michigan University. His work focuses on fiction writing, with notable publications including novels and short story collections.

His research and creative output have earned recognition through Pushcart Prize Special Mentions and grants from organizations like the Connecticut Commission on the Arts and the Vermont Studio Center. His teaching interests emphasize fiction writing and contemporary literature.

Publications include novels like The Soul Hunters (2016) and Floating Holidays (2007), as well as short story collections such as The Truth at Daybreak (2008) and Presence (2000). His writing explores themes of identity, existentialism, and narrative structure, often blending literary fiction with contemporary social commentary.
