Professor Jennifer Parlamis is a Full-Time Faculty member in the School of Management at the University of San Francisco. Her academic career focuses on social-psychological research in negotiation, conflict resolution, and organizational dynamics, particularly examining the impact of technology and emotions in negotiations. She holds a PhD in Social and Organizational Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University (2001), and has held leadership roles such as Former Department Chair of Humanistic Management and Hospitality and Former Program Director for Organization Development.
Her research interests span negotiation pedagogy, virtual negotiation, and the role of emotions like anger in conflict. She has received notable awards including the Outstanding Research Award (2015) and Outstanding Leadership Award (2017). Her teaching emphasizes real-world applied projects in Bay Area organizations, fostering student readiness for leadership roles.
