Professor Jennifer Oxley is a leading academic in injury prevention research at the Monash University Accident Research Centre. She holds a Professor (Research) position and focuses on safe mobility for vulnerable populations, including pedestrians, cyclists, elderly road users, and novice drivers. Her work integrates health promotion, behavioral analysis, and human factors to improve safety systems and infrastructure.
Her research interests span injury prevention strategies, assessment of risk in transportation systems, and evaluations of interventions such as educational programs and technological innovations. She actively collaborates with global organizations like the Swedish Road Administration and Transportation Research Board, contributing to policy development and guidelines.
Professor Oxley supervises six postgraduate students and leads major projects on topics like driver monitoring systems for elderly drivers and alcohol’s impact on pedestrian behavior.
