Jennifer Mortensen is currently an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Department of Computer Science. She holds a PhD in Computational Biology and Bioinformatics from Yale University (2018) and a BA in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Clark University (2012).

Her research interests bridge computer science and biophysics, focusing on computational modeling of protein structures and interactions. She has contributed to understanding steric interactions in protein cores and atomic packing of amino acids.
