Dr. Jennifer Lees is a Senior Clinical Research Fellow and Honorary Consultant Nephrologist at the University of Glasgow’s BHF Glasgow Cardiovascular Research Centre. She leads the Data Science group within the School of Cardiovascular and Metabolic Health and holds a Wellcome Trust Early Career Fellowship. Her roles include academic research and clinical practice in nephrology. Dr. Lees graduated from the Universities of Cambridge (MA) and Edinburgh (MBChB), and completed her nephrology training in Glasgow. She is a co-investigator on major trials like the ViKTORIES and K4Kidneys studies, focusing on kidney function and cardiovascular health.

Key achievements include prestigious awards: UK Kidney Association Raine Award (2022), ERA Eberhard Ritz Award (2022), and recognition as an International Society of Nephrology ‘Rising Star’. She is also a member of the CKD Prognosis Consortium and the UK Renal Trials Network.
