Dr. Jennifer Lee Hoffman is an Associate Professor in the Department of Educational Foundations, Leadership & Policy at the University of Washington's College of Education. Her research focuses on intercollegiate athletics, equity studies, and qualitative methods, with special attention to the intersection of higher education and sports governance. She leads the Center for Leadership in Athletics, addressing modern challenges in traditional college sports and emerging esports. Hoffman has published widely on topics like amateurism critiques, gender equity, and policy reforms, earning the ASHE 2021 Special Merit Award. She edited the Research From The Front Porch series and co-authored Understanding Collegiate Esports, a guide for program development.
