Jennifer L. Young, Ph.D., is a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics, Neonatology at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. Her research investigates molecular mechanisms of lung injury, focusing on extracellular matrix signaling (CCN1/Cyr61), TNFα-mediated cell death, and inflammatory responses in diseases like ARDS and COPD. She aims to develop novel therapies by elucidating pathways of alveolar epithelial cell and fibroblast apoptosis.
