Jennifer L. Hopp

Jennifer L. Hopp, MD is a Professor in the Department of Neurology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. She holds multiple leadership roles including Director of the Epilepsy Division, Executive Vice Chair, and Director of the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit at the University of Maryland Medical Center (UMMC).

Her research focuses on psychological and social factors in epilepsy, women's health issues in epilepsy, surgical treatment of epilepsy, and critical care EEG monitoring. She collaborates extensively with researchers in Physiology, Radiology, and within the Epilepsy Division.

Her recent publications highlight expertise in epilepsy-pregnancy interactions, psychogenic seizure differentiation, dissociation in epilepsy patients, and EEG applications in critical care. She serves as Site Principal Investigator for the Critical Care EEG Monitoring Research Consortium and clinical trials evaluating status epilepticus treatments.
