Jennifer Keohane is an Associate Professor at the University of Baltimore, affiliated with the Yale Gordon College of Arts and Sciences. She directs the undergraduate program in digital communication and co-founded the Lab for Character Assassination and Reputation Politics (CARP). Her research examines social movement rhetoric, public memory, and gendered political discourse.

Her work focuses on rhetorical strategies in social movements, character assassination in politics, and intersections of poetry with public memory. Recent research includes analyses of Kamala Harris and Kamala Harris and the National Garden of American Heroes. She has published extensively in journals like Rhetoric Review, Women’s Studies in Communication, and Rhetorica.
Her publications span books on character assassination, chapters on cancel culture and political rhetoric, and journal articles analyzing gendered labor, protest movements, and historical narratives. She has received grants from the John Templeton Foundation and contributed to media outlets like the Washington Examiner and PropWatch.
