Jennifer Jiles is a Lecturer in the Department of Communication at Georgia State University, teaching undergraduate and graduate courses since 1999. Her curriculum spans corporate communication, public relations campaigns, communications consulting, public relations writing, mass communication theory, and media ethics, with emphasis on strategic communications planning, crisis management, social media, and digital writing methodologies.

Research Interests: Jiles investigates change management, crisis communication theory, media ethics, strategic communication, and philanthropy/charitable giving trends. Her public interest communication framework has engaged over 75 nonprofit organizations in applied student learning projects since 2007, bridging academic theory with social mission work.
Current Research: As principal investigator for Georgia State University and Saprea's statewide perception study on child sexual abuse awareness (findings due 2026), she analyzes demographic and geographic knowledge gaps to inform evidence-based policy interventions and educational campaigns across Georgia.

Industry Leadership: Jiles leverages 25+ years of practitioner experience from executive roles at AT&T, UPS, Dell Technologies, Thurgood Marshall College Fund, and Bridge Philanthropic Consulting. She founded 44 Consulting Group and currently serves as communication consultant and fundraising executive for nonprofit organizations, specializing in charitable sector advocacy.
Academic Mentorship: She supervises graduate students in research paper development and communications planning for Corporate Communication and Communications Consulting courses, providing methodology guidance and project development mentorship within applied learning frameworks.
