Jennifer Ingleheart

Professor Jennifer Ingleheart is a Professor in the Department of Classics and Ancient History at Durham University. Her research focuses on Latin poetry (particularly Ovid and Catullus), the reception of Roman culture, and the history of sexuality. She holds a D.Phil. from Oxford and has held previous roles in the U.S., University of Wales, and Oxford colleges. Her work explores how ancient Roman homosexuality influenced modern identity formation, evident in her monograph Masculine Plural: Queer Classics, Sex, and Education (2018).
