Dr. Jennifer Hamilton is the Head of the School of Applied Social and Policy Sciences at Ulster University and has served as a Lecturer since 2010. She is also the Course Director for Health and Social Care Policy, leading the six-week placement programme for social policy degrees. Her research focuses on social policy, race and ethnicity, minority ethnic communities in Northern Ireland, forced labour, and Traveller education. She previously worked as Senior Researcher at the Institute for Conflict Research, contributing to studies on service provision disparities and social cohesion among migrants.
Education background and roles: Jennifer holds a PhD and has been actively involved in teaching and research since 2010. She coordinates undergraduate and postgraduate courses on gender, ethnicity, family policy, and research methods.
