Jennifer Golightly is a Lecturer in History and Director of Digital Student Experience at Colorado College. Her work bridges literary history and digital humanities, focusing on eighteenth-century British women's writing, gender performance, and cultural history. She holds a PhD in English Literature from the University of Denver (2007), an MA (2000), and a BA from Colorado State University (1997).
Her research explores women's contributions to literature, fashion history, and radical themes in novels of the 1790s. Current projects include a study of gender non-conforming heroines in sentimental novels and a digital humanities project on policing male homosexuality in 18th-century Paris with Tip Ragan. She has been awarded the Émilie du Châtelet Prize for her work on gender and the marriage plot.
